The Freestyle Fiddle: State Capitol Ornament Project invites students from every Arkansas school district to create hand-drawn ornament designs that answer the question: How does “Arkansas Celebrates My Community” come to life where I live? Each participating school building submits one student design, which is then professionally printed and displayed on a holiday tree in the Arkansas State Capitol from mid-November through early January.
This project is a statewide visual storytelling opportunity that uplifts student voices, highlights regional pride, and ensures that every corner of Arkansas has a place in the story of our state.
