Are any meals included during the conference?
Yes! You will receive breakfast and lunch each day of the conference, along with drinks like water, coffee, etc.
Who is able to attend PCTELA 2023?
Any educator at any level, including pre-service teachers, are welcomed and highly encouraged to attend! We have a variety of sessions on literacy, reading, writing, technology, and more, plus amazing keynote speakers, vendor tables, and networking opportunities throughout each day.
Can I receive Act 48 hours for attending the conference?
PCTELA is a Pennsylvania Department of Education Act 48 Provider. The Pennsylvania Department of Education officially recognizes the PCTELA conference as a professional development opportunity under the provisions of Act 48. During the conference, we will offer more information on how to obtain Act 48 hours.
What should I expect at PCTELA 2023?
You should expect to have fun and learn a lot! We offer a variety of sessions, all grouped by age level (elementary, middle school, high school, or collegiate), and you also have a lot of time to network and meet fellow literacy teachers! The PCTELA board will also be at the conference and would be happy to share information with you on how to get involved with PCTELA. We welcome all educators and would love to see you there!
