The content of your writing or art must be appropriate for school. If you're unsure if your work is appropriate or not, reach out to Mr. Brown at matthewp.brown@pcsstn.com.
All submission must pertain to the theme assigned to that quarter.
If submissions contain themes, images, or words that technically fall under "school appropriate" guidelines but could be harmful or inappropriate in any way, the submission may be denied or revisions may be required.
Students may only submit one of each of the three categories per quarter (Poetry, Prose, & Visual Art).
All submission must be original work created (not AI generated) by the person submitting it.
All submissions must be submitted, reviewed, and approved before being published. All reviews will be done by two teachers. Reviewers will ensure that all content follows the guidelines and is at a high quality before publication. Reviewers may request specific revisions to submissions. If a revision is needed, reviewers will provided a deadline for said revision. If students do not submit work before the deadline or if revisions are not sufficient, the work may not be published.
Prose must reach a minimum word count of 500 words and may reach a maximum word count of 4,000 words.
Prose should be typed in 12pt Times New Roman. (This is just for submission. The font will likely change when published.)
The writing should be error free and organized.
The submission should be in a digital format (Microsoft Word or Google Docs) that can be viewed and edited by reviewers. It would be wise to send/ share a copy rather than the original.
The submission must have a title.
All writing should not contain the names of or references to any real person in any way unless that person has expressed specific consent. (This may exclude famous or well known people as long as the writing is still school appropriate and follows the previous guidelines).
