In Visual Art you will learn through the arts, as we embark on a journey of learning where creating tests your strengths, and celebrates our differences of perception and understanding.
You will be guided through units of learning where you will CREATE art, PRESENT your projects and ideas, RESPOND to artwork, and CONNECT art to the world around you.

About me
I love everything about teaching through the arts! I have been teaching since 2009. I graduated with a B.F.A. in Art Education from TTU. I taught at Powell Elementary in Knox County for 7 years. Moving to Cookeville (my hometown) for a maternity leave, I was offered a part time position at Prescott South Middle School. I was very excited to move back to Cookeville and teach at a school only a few blocks from where I grew up! I taught part time at PSMS from Spring 2018-2020. Fall 2020 I became the full time head art teacher at Prescott South Middle. My husband and I have two daughters who also attend Prescott. In my free time you might find me; at a park with my family, painting, printmaking, visiting art museums/galleries, reading, playing with my puppy Tallulah or my cat Luna, or listening to music.
