Algood Middle School Counseling Mission Statement
The mission of the Algood Middle School Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that is focused around program pieces that will instill in all students intellectual, moral, physical, emotional and social values; produce citizens competent in basic skills, possessing the ability to think critically and solve problems; promote a positive attitude toward learning; and prepare all students to succeed in this ever-changing world by growing their competency in academic, career, and personal/social domains. This will be accomplished, hand-in-hand with our community, parents, teachers, staff and administrators, through a variety of counselor competencies.
Algood Middle School Counseling Vision
The students at Algood Middle School are productive, moral, highly motivated, challenged, and engaged students. They are able to critically think, problem solve, and have a positive attitude towards learning. Students will be prepared to meet challenges they will face in their high school career as they leave Algood Middle School. They will also be able to go on to be productive members of society beyond high school with the help of school, family, and community. As successful, lifelong learners and productive citizens, our students achieve their fullest potential, making a positive difference in our school and community.
