Wendy Kay Purvis
School Counselor, Perry Central High School

My passion is helping students reach their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally—by providing guidance, support, and opportunities that prepare them for success beyond high school.

I am currently pursuing a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Belhven University, building on over two decades of experience in education. I’ve served as the high school counselor at Perry Central for the past five years, following a 19-year career as a high school science teacher.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Social and Biological Sciences (2005) from William Carey College, a Master’s in Secondary Education (2007) from William Carey University, and a Master’s in School Counseling (2020) from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

My husband Joseph and I live in the Glade Community and have a daughter, Perri, two Golden Doodles, Pearl and Earl and a grand-dog, Pickle.
