Tape Measure (Each Team Member)
Speed Square or Combination Square (Two per team)
Framing Square (Two per team)
level - 2’ (One per team) (this would satisfy the max width and height of the project)
Wire Brush (Carbon Steel Only - One per team)
Soapstone (Each Team Member)
Black permanent marker (Each Team Member)
Safety Glasses (Clear) (Each Team Member)
Cutting Glasses (Shade 5) (Each Team Member)
OFC Tip Cleaner and striker (One per team)
Clear Grinding Face Shield (Each Team Member)
Ear Plugs (Each Team Member)
Skull Cap (Recommended - Each Team Member)
Welding Helmet (Each Team Member)
Welding Gloves (Each Team Member)
Welding Leathers (Each Team Member)
Appropriate Work Boots (Each Team Member)
Appropriate Clothing (Each Team Member)
Chop Saw (and Chop Saw Blade – One per team)
4-1/2'' Grinder (minimum of 2 finish wheels , 2 grinding wheels, and 1 wire wheel - grinders need appropriate guards – One grinder per team)
Extension Cord (One per team – there is a plug in on each booth but will need it for floor work, 12’ would be plenty but you can bring a longer one it you want)
String 5’
This is the maximum allowed list; if your teams are short a tape measure etc... that will be fine. Just want a good clean contest without anyone having an advantage over the next guy and everyone is safe. On the clear face shields there will be some cutting and they have to have one on for OFC but if they are grinding they can switch their hoods to grind mode and that’s fine. So you will need at least one clear face shield, I just put down three to be on the safe side (all three might want to cut and not share the shields not sure how your students are with each other).
