The math department recommends that all students entering Middle School Math A (MMA) , Middle School Math B (MMB) , Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and/or Pre Calculus work on IXL over the summer.
This work is optional but is strongly encouraged, not only because it will help hone your mathematical skills over the summer and prevent the summer ‘brain drain’, but also because these classes will be using IXL as a component of their instruction and you will become more familiar with the interface and the types of problems you will encounter.
We recommend that you work on IXL recommended skills for a total of 4 hours over the summer. This equates to 30 minutes per week. This will be rewarded with 4 extra credit points in the practice set category.
To begin working with IXL, do the following:
Login to IXL with the information emailed to your pcscharter account. If you are an incoming 7th grader, or you are new to PCS and have not taken the IXL diagnostic, please contact Mr. Garrett for login information at randy.garrett@pcsed.org.

There is no summer assignment for AP Statistics.
