Is this class only for students who want to go to college?
NO! We are a class that is open for people who want to go to college, or go to trade school and enter a vocation, or those who feel like it's their calling to join the military. This elective is to help you "navigate" your chosen postsecondary path and give you the skills you need to be successful in all areas of your high school career and after you walk across the stage at graduation.

Absolutely not! We welcome any person who wants to apply, regardless of whether you're joining your sophomore, junior, or senior year! Our goal is to make sure you feel ready for what happens after you graduate high school by providing you with the necessary skills and career exploration you need to be successful.

YES! We absolutely encourage you to join! Why? This course includes activities and curriculum that encourages you to explore your interests, values, and skills. It's going to give you the opportunity to do some career assessments, postsecondary planning, and provide exposure to various professions to help you make an informed choice about your future.

Yes, it does. It counts as an elective course. It's not a core requirement, like math or English, but it still contributes to overall graduation credit. If you're unsure, you can always check with your counselor to make sure it fits into your schedule and graduation plans.

Unlike many electives that focus on creative or academic subjects, N.A.V.I.G.A.T.E. focuses on preparing for two things:
How to be successful in high school
How to prepare you for life after high school
This course focuses on your future, whether that's college, vocational training, the military, etc. It's going to give you some real-world skills that are applicable in ANY field or career.
