Advancement Via Individual Determination
The AVID Elective is a program that helps students prepare for college and careers. AVID classes teach students academic and social skills, such as time management, organization, and note-taking. Students also learn about college and career opportunities through this course.
Has between a 2.0 - 3.5 GPA
Willing to maintain a minimum of a "C" in all courses
Plans to take Honors, Pre-AP, Advancement Placement (AP), and Dual Credit
Demonstrates responsibility and accountability, personally and academically
Has consistent daily attendance and shows up to class on time
Self-motivated and determined to improve and grow
Committed to be college AND career ready
A study hall (AVID has its own curriculum)
For students with unsatisfactory attendance
