Rousso-Adams Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship - Birmingham, Alabama - AAFP-RS accredited
The mission of the PCOM Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery Residency Program is to provide our residents with the knowledge base, surgical skills, and leadership qualities necessary to practice as a proficient otolaryngologist upon graduation and to flourish in the years that follow. We place a heavy emphasis on preparing residents to compete for fellowships at the highest level. Our program has a strong focus on surgical training, patient care, and management, as well as providing adequate support for clinical research.
Under appropriate supervision, we train our residents to become highly resourceful, confident, and independent in the operating room. The residents are taught the importance of compassion, communication, cooperation, and work ethic which will distinguish them from their colleagues. Additionally, our residents gain a wealth of experience managing both adult and pediatric patients. The program provides substantial exposure to both common and rare clinical problems. There is extensive exposure to the field of head and neck surgery, rhinology and sinus surgery, laryngology, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, otology, and pediatric care.
The PCOM Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery Residency Program will forge a path of innovative and diverse training with the goals to produce physicians who are capable of succeeding in a wide scope of disciplines, adapting to challenges faced as the world of medicine evolves and becoming leaders within their own future medical communities.
This calendar displays educational events, lectures and journal clubs that PCOM ENT has planned. Interested colleagues, students and residency applicants are welcomed to join. You may contact the PCOM residents with any questions.
