Hourly Positive Attendance: Almanor High School and Jim Beckwourth High School
Our continuation schools take positive attendance (P).
This attendance is hourly.
Students are to be marked present (P) every hour they are at school.
The attendance day is 180 minutes (3 periods)
Each hour that a student is present in the classroom the student is marked present up to a full day of classes.
The hours above 180 minutes can back fill missed days due to illness or other.
A student who is absent is to be marked absent ONLY for the mandatory 180 minutes (3 periods).
Student enrolled in ISO means student is a full time ISO student
o These students are not ISO. They are expected to be on campus taking the class and principals identify the designated location
o Principals have the authority to make arrangements for student to study off site as an exception – not the normal practice (MUST have signatures of parent, student and principal agreeing to this arrangement)
o Academy teacher responsible for communicating with registrar as to what class student is enrolled in and where student is taking class
o Students taking classes on the main high school campus will be a Continuation student and registrar will enroll student in class identifying (example: English 1 CHS) – Continuation collects ADA
o Students enrolled in credit recovery or opportunity classes for less than 180 minutes are considered to be enrolled in the comprehensive high school
