Hannah Fairbanks-M.Ed

Graduated from Harvey High School 1967

Activities involved in while at Harvey High School include:

·         Band all 4 years

·         Service Club with Mrs. Betsy Raymond Taylor

·         Scarlet Torch

·         FTA (Future Teachers of America)

·         Tutoring underclassmen

·         Assisting teachers

·         Spanish Club

·         GAA (Girls Athletic Association)

·         Activities within the community included being an active member of St. James Church

Post Graduation from Harvy High School:

·         Bowling Green State University graduating with an Education Degree-1971

·         Lake Erie College- received my Elementary Teaching credentials 1972-1982

·         Ashland University- Masters in Curriculum and Instruction-1996-1998

Teaching Experiences:

·         Painesville City Local Schools 39.66 years

Classroom teacher, Cheerleading Coach, FCCLA Advisor, Preschool Director, served on many educational committees including passing the new school’s levy and new school design.

·         Lake Erie College- 10 years- (2014-2024)

Classroom Instructor, Advisor to 30 students, Field Supervisor, as well as various committees.

·         Belize Summer Science Success Camps  2017-2024

Worked with 100 children in 1st-5th grade to help develop a love for science

Community Contributions:

·         Active at St. James on the Church Vestry and various committees including the recent Bicentennial Celebration of the Church.

·         President of local chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Association as well as at the State level with ADSOEF

·         Assisting with the Feeding Ministry at St. James Episcopal Church.

·         Serving on the Advisory Board for Auburn Career Center’s TPP Course.

Personal Information:

·         Married for many years to my husband Gary Fairbanks

   Four children, 12 grandchildren and a dog named Snickers.

·         Love to Quilt, Travel, Paint, and Garden as well as being with our family.
