We will do a deeper dive into the techniques and science behind Theater Technology. For those who have a couple years experience in Theater or Church sound and light technology, we will learn some of the more advanced methods to enhance sound and light for performances.
We expect you to have a good understanding of microphone placement and use, what gain and feedback are, and some methods to manage them. We will learn about what is desirable in a mix for live performance and recordings, and why they are different. We will discuss acoustic science and art and what enhances a space and what creates major challenges.
We will learn about various stage lighting fixtures and when the characteristics of each should be used on stage.
We expect you to have a basic understanding of DMX controlled lighting systems and control consoles. We will learn how incandescent fixtures differ from LED fixtures and how to use them together. We will learn how to use the lens of a theater fixture to adjust focus and beam placement to enhance visibility and eliminate unwanted shadows, (or create them!). We will learn how to work with "non-intensity" controls on modern DMX stage fixtures. We will have opportunity to "play" with most of the technology in the PCHS auditorium to better learn from experience what the science and instruction tells us. The better we understand what the tools do, the more creative we can be while using them.
Challenge me! We will try to find the answer together.

Too often, the role of officials is misunderstood or overlooked, yet they are essential to ensuring that every game is played fairly, safely, and with respect for the spirit of competition. At RefReps, we believe when players, coaches, fans, and administrators understand the perspective of officials, sports become more than just competition—they become opportunities for learning, growth, respect, and connection. By providing innovative technology, training, and education, we empower individuals to see the game through the eyes of the offficials, building greater empathy, understanding, and appreciation for the vital role they play in every game.
Through this mission, we are working to create a culture of sportsmanship where respect runs deeper and the game is better for everyone involved.

This is a class just for girls where we will tackle the tough issues facing young women today. Sadly, we know all too well what society tells young women about how they should look and behave. These messages stand in stark contrast to what the Bible says about who we are. Through different speakers and activities, we will look at a variety of issues such as beauty, success, friendships, dating, and more. In each of these topics, we will examine what the world says and what God says, with the goal of discrediting society’s lies and replacing it with a purely Biblical perspective of what it means to be a proud daughter of Christ.
