The PCHS Speech Season has ended for the 2022 season. PC's Theatre Troupe thanks everyone for their loyal patronage of the arts this past year and ask for your continued support in the future!

CONGRATULATIONS to Mia Andringa (Storytelling), Abby Dart (Solo Musical Theatre), Laurey Johnson (Storytelling and Improv) and Trent Van Gilst (Lit Program) on being selected as Outstanding Performers at the 2022 IHSSA State Individual Events competition, receiving All-State Nominations and qualifying to perform at the All-State Festival on March 28, 2022 at the University of Northern Iowa. These students represent an elite group of only 400 students to have been selected out of nearly 9,000 students who started competition at the District level.
CONGRATULATIONS TO TWO PC LARGE GROUP EVENTS on being selected as Outstanding Performers at the 2022 IHSSA Large Group competition, both receiving All-State Nominations and qualifying them to perform at the All-State Speech Festival.

FOR FIFTEEN YEARS IN A ROW, students in Pella Christian's Large Group events have been selected as Outstanding Performers, receiving All-State Nominations from the State Large Group competitions. These selections qualify the school each year for the state's highest honor of representing Iowa's best in high school theatre at the IHSSA All-State Festival on the campus of Iowa State University! Only eight one-act teams (out of over 150 teams), 12 Readers Theatre teams (out of nearly 250 teams), 20 Choral Reader teams (out of nearly 180 teams), and 20 Musical Theatre teams (out of over 300 teams) from across Iowa perform at the Festival each year. In addition, the 2020 Readers Theatre was awarded the "Critic's Choice" top honor over all the Readers Theatres performed at the Festival that year and the 2010 One-Act play was awarded the "Critic's Choice" top honor over all the one-acts performed at the Festival that year. Pella Christian's Theatre Troupe:
PC's Theatre Troupe is an organized group of students who enjoy doing all kinds of theatre and speech-both on stage and back stage. The Theatre Troupe inducts new members each April at their annual end of the year "Celebration!" based on points earned throughout the year. A student needs to earn a minimum of 65 points to become a member. Theatre Troupe Officers for 2022-23 are:

Typical activities for Troupe members include holiday socials, trips to see professional shows in the area, and workshop opportunities.
