Title: CFD Analysis of Furnace Secondary air. (Industry Sponsored)
Description: Secondary air in furnace ensures the combustion of unburnt particles escaping from primary combustion bed which can hamper the boiler efficiency. Present study focuses on CFD analysis of flow parameter of secondary air in furnace like momentum flux ratio, jet penetration depth and turbulence intensity. Also attempt has been made to optimize the position of secondary air nozzles and their spacing on the walls of furnace.

Title: Design and development of Mixing chamber for prototype cold storage (In-house)
Description: Increasing shelf life of farm produce is need of the hour. Temperature and humidity control guidelines given by NHB are followed by all cold store operators, but respiration of farm produce after harvest needs oxygen and produce CO2 and ethylene in controlled environment. Ethylene being natural ripening agent can hamper the shelf life, hence attempt has been made to allow fresh air and return air to mix and enter into cold store to check effect on increase in shelf life.

Title: Design and development of freeze preventive Vaccine carrier using PCM (In-house)
Description: Vaccine carriers are small insulated box lined with ice pack to store and transport vaccine from refrigeration facilities to outreach stations where ice is not available. They are typically carried by health workers to remote locations for immunisation which may take time ranging from few hours to few days. Since vaccine are very temperature and freeze sensitive, the main objective of this work is to modify the conventional vaccine carrier and replace the conventional coolant packs with PCM packs, to increase the life of vaccine in vaccine carrier by maintaining temperature between 2 to 8 degree Celsius.

Received ISHRAE research grant for project titled “Design and development of evaporative cooling attachment to conventional ceiling fan” under ISPG-UG scheme of Rs 30000/- for Society Year 2019-20.
Received ISHRAE research grant for project titled “Experimental investigation and theoretical simulation of performance of condensing units below AHRI rated ambient temperatures” under SRPG-PG scheme of Rs 1,00,000/- for Society Year 2021-22.
Guided UG project on “Vacuum shield cold room for transportation of perishable product” which received a prize of Rs.1 lac as winner in Refcold Hackathon 2023 competition at Chennai.
Submitted research proposal on PhD project of Rs. 3 lac under Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission scheme through SPPU, result awaited.
Received internal funding of Rs. 70000/- for UG project from PCCoE R&D budget.

Delivered session on syllabus implementation Workshop of HVAC&R on topic of "Practical application of refrigeration system and Advanced refrigeration cycles" during 28th to 31st July 2022 organized at VPKBIET Baramati.
Delivered expert session on “Parametric analysis of refrigeration systems using OpenSource software” at three engineering institutes namely JCoE Kuran, ZCOE&R Narhe, SCoE Kopargaon.
