Design And Manufacturing of Engine HealthMonitoring System For Two Wheeler.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
To develop an effective electronic monitoring system using data acquisition tools which will read health of our engine.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
To develop assembly of Two-Wheeler health monitoring system by integrating hardware and software.
To measure the vibration of an engine using a vibration sensor.
To read the amount of carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide in the exhaust gas using MQ-7 and MQ-135 sensors respectively.
To read the battery state of charge (SOC), state of health (SOH) and state of function (SOF) condition parameters using electronic battery sensor.
OUTCOMES OF PROJECT
This Experiment is conducted on the bike by using the IoT application. The vibration sensor is in contact with the Engine. Gas sensors are in contact with exhaust gases. The voltage sensor is in contact with battery terminals. As the results were presented with respect to time, the CO and NOx are measured in values similar to values in PUC of vehicle i.e. 0.3% and 1.12 mg.
It is observed that after servicing and changing lubricating oil the amount of vibration, CO and NOx are reduced to 0.2% and 0.9 mg . And the battery voltage was 2.65V before changing battery and after that, it is showing 5V. Vibration of engine before servicing at idling condition i.e. at 0rpm was 10 to 12 Hz and after servicing it was 5-7 Hz.
