Tues. Oct 8th: PSU-AAUP Portland City Council Candidates' Forum
When: Tuesday, October 8th, 5:30pm
Where: PSU Campus; 506 SW Mill St, Portland, OR [CUPA Parson's Gallery, Room 212, 2nd Floor]
This forum falls the day before the City Council meeting to discuss the Keller Auditorium replacement at PSU. It’s a vital opportunity to speak with affected workers about centering workers in this process. We’ll be turning out from our 1,200 represented workers, other on-campus labor unions, building trades unions impacted by the Keller expansion, media, and community. Join PSU-AAUP for their first-of-its-kind, labor-centered candidate forum on campus.

Sat. Oct 12th: Higher Ed Labor Canvass
Higher education is at stake in Oregon's election, so all-hands are needed to get out the vote for these education champions. They are each in swing districts. Labor's agenda to fully fund higher education and for secure positions and benefits at the state level will be in deep trouble if these lawmakers are not re-elected to continue this work.
Rep. Hudson has been a union community college adjunct instructor and is Oregon's Chair of the House Higher Education Committee, and is currently a union substitute teacher; Sen. Gorsek teaches as a union member at Mt Hood Community College; and Rep. Ruiz is the Vice-Chair of the House Higher Education Committee and a tireless champion for students and education workers.
Join AFT-OR members on October 12th as we work to get these Oregon Legislators re-elected! RSVP to join us here.
