Unit 4 Discussion A: Collaborative Learning

Learning is an ongoing individual process and a communal process that involves sharing our interests, ideas, and discoveries. For our Unit 4A Discussion, we will discuss the collaboratively-created annotated resources from Assignment Unit 3 connected to the new questions and ideas about adult aging that have emerged in this course.

Follow these steps:

1. Complete Unit 3 Assignment
2. Share your findings with your classmates and me by creating an initial discussion post and writing a response to one of your colleagues.

In your initial post, please address the following:

• What idea did you select to research and where did it originate (which discussion or learning resource inspired you)?
• What was your rationale for selecting the topic?
• What "picture" of adult aging do you see when you view the three resources you selected?
• What are the similarities and differences between the three types of resources?
• Which of the resources do you find to be most credible, and why?
• Provide a summary in which you tell us what you learned about adult aging from the three sources and any new questions you might have.

Your initial post is due by Sunday.

For your response post to at least one colleague:

• Find their three sources and read them.
• Then, engage in a conversation with your chosen colleague.

Your response post to your colleague is due Wednesday.
