For my first attempt at this assignment, I decided to use my cat because I didn't really want to use myself as a model. The bars of the window, however, didnt make for the best portrait photo. I improved my next picture by using myself to take a proper portrait, using the same warm light to expose enough of my face without the dark shadows.

In my first take of this assignment, I didn't focus very much on the monochromatic aspect of it. For my improved photo, I captured a picture of this tree with crazy, bendy branches. I wanted them to be darker so that it would create a cool contrast with the brighter light poking through the leaves above.
