Welcome to Week 1!

It is very important that you come to the first class on June 22nd!  If you do not come, you will be dropped from the class.

This week we will do an English placement to make sure you are in the correct class.

This week we will pay for class and get a parking permit.  We do NOT have a textbook this term.

If you can't pay for class, talk to Brittany.

This week we will practice English for "Everyday Life in our Community." We will learn how to:

• Ask for locations and directions.

• Find items at a store and shop for groceries.

Homework:

• Pay for class ($76.50) 

• Get a parking permit if you use a car ($50)

• Learn week 1 vocabulary Learn how to say the words, how to spell the words, what the words mean.

• Read in English 10-15 minutes every day.  Write down what you read in your reading log.

Welcome to Week 2!

This week we will continue to practice English for "Everyday Life in our Community."

We will learn how to:

• Shop for Groceries

• Ask for help and read flyers.

Homework:

• Learn week 2 vocabulary Learn how to say the words, how to spell the words, what the words mean.

• Read in English 10-15 minutes every day.  Write down what you read in your reading log.

Welcome to Week 3!

This week we will continue to practice English for "Everyday Life in our Community."

We will learn how to:

• Count money and discuss budgets.

• Deposit and withdraw money from the bank.

Homework:

• Learn week 3 vocabulary Learn how to say the words, how to spell the words, what the words mean.

• Read in English 10-15 minutes every day.  Write down what you read in your reading log.

Welcome to Week 4!

This week we will finish practicing English for "Everyday Life in our Community."

We will learn how to:

• Ask for help and more information.

• Practice role playing "Everyday Life in our Community."

Homework:

• Learn week 4 vocabulary Learn how to say the words, how to spell the words, what the words mean.

• Read in English 10-15 minutes every day.  Write down what you read in your reading log.

• Listen to one English audio every day.  Write down what you listened to in your listening log.

• On Wednesday turn in the reading/listening logs for "Everyday Life in our Community."

This week we have the Midterm Exam on Monday.

This week we will start to practice "English at Work."

We will learn how to:

• Introduce yourself at work.

• Describe schedules.

• Read in English 10-15 minutes every day.  Write down what you read in your reading log.

• Listen to one English audio every day.  Write down what you listened to in your listening log.

Welcome to Week 8!

This week we will finish practicing "English at Work."

We will learn how to:

• Talk about what we did at work yesterday.

On Wednesday we will have our Final Exam.

You must come on Monday if you want to take a class in the Fall.
