In August 2021, the then 47-year-old Eagle Stadium at Rotary Field was deemed "not structurally sound" following a structural assessment by Ponce-Fuess Engineering.  There was significant corrosion to the steel framing and cracking and spalling of the concrete to the Home and Visitor stands. 

In October 2021, the Board of Trustees approved for the demolition and reconstruction of a new Eagle Stadium at Rotary Field.

The new Eagle Stadium at Rotary Field is now a purple palace to continue the long-standing tradition of Eagle Pride in Pecos. 

In November 2021, the Board of Trustees approved the improvements of several athletic facilities in PBTISD. One was the conversion of the Crockett Middle School track and field to turf and the addition of outdoor lighting for the tennis courts.

The project was completed in late summer 2022.

Affordable housing is a challenge for many. The Board of Trustees approved the construction of a 60+ unit housing complex for staff. The complex includes 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units and is a few blocks from the new Zavala Elementary!

The development of this facility began in the Fall of 2021 after the Board of Trustees approved the allocation of funds for projects not included in the May 2021 Bond. Just like other PBTISD construction projects, this facility is being designed by VLK Architects. It has been designed in collaboration with PHS Agricultural staff and VLK. 

The facility will include livestock pens, washing/grooming stations, a sheep and goat run, a grazing area, an arena, and classroom space. 

Following the completion of Eagle Stadium and other athletic improvements, the Board of Trustees approved for funds to be used for improvements to the Baseball/Softball stands and the construction of locker rooms for Baseball, Tennis, and Softball. The Baseball/Tennis field house will include an observation deck for fans to watch tennis matches from above.
