How do my students log into their programs with their quickcards?

Pre-K- 3rd grade students will log into their Chromebooks with a quickcard. Each quickcard is tied to the student's email and is a faster way for younger students to login without typing in their email address. Each quickcard will have the student's name and email at the bottome.

To sign into ClassLink with a quickcard:

1) Print your classes' quickcards on your launchpad from the quickcards app.

2) Laminate the quickcards and decide how they will be given to students, (taped to a folder/notebook, velcro to the device, or will you pass them out every time?)

3) Students will power on the device and scan their quickcard when the camera screen comes on.

4) Students Launchpad will automatically open. Click the home button to return to ClassLink at any time.

How can I use my devices in class?

Our school was blessed with new Dell 2 in 1 Chromebook tablets for our elementary campuses.

These devices can be flipped all the way around and used as a tablet. A touch keyboard will appear in tablet mode.

They can be used in tent mode or used as a regular keyboard mode.

They have two cameras, a front and back camera. You should be able to switch the cameras from whatever program you are using. Just look for the camera switch icon symbol.

Take advantage of this free feature on your student's Chromebook!

The camera app allows you to:

1) Take a picture

2) Record a video

3) Scan QR codes and documents

Everything saves to the files app on the device and students can use the pictures and videos they take in their google docs or slides!
