Welcoming a newborn into the world is an enchanting experience
Although we can't stop time, the newborn stage passes quickly,
you have around
15 days to get those little scrunches.
Each baby I have the privilege to photograph is treated with the same love and care as my
own. I do not force baby into any uncomfortable poses. I capture baby just as they are.
My goal is to provide you with a unique photography experience that reflects my
simple & timeless style.
FAQ
When should I book in?
I say the best time to book is after your 20 week scan. The are certain months of the year that can become busy and as I also shoot weddings I can become busy very quickly.... but if you are booking in a little bit late do message as I may have a session free!
How old should my baby be?
I do say between 5-15day is the most ideal time. This means your baby is still in that perfect little scrunch and may still have all their newborn features- fluffy hair, flacky skin! I have on occasion done a session upto 5 weeks but by this stage baby is already starting to hange and become more alert.
What should I dress my baby in?
Once you are booked in you will receive a Newborn session Guide, this will help you prepare for your session. I say for you to bring your baby in a plain white baby grow. This can be underneath what ever you choose to put them in for that day. As my style is timeless this will give you the most perfect images and means nothing is distracting from your baby.
How long is my session?
Newborns can be a little fussy and take time to feed, change and wind. So due to this i say your session is around 2 hours. This gives plently of time for settling if needed. Please do not worry if your baby is a little bit more fussy than usual. This is totally normal.
Is there anything I should bring to my session?
Yes! as you may of heard or already have experienced baby bags are packed for the 'in case' situation. As written above all relevent information will be in a Newborn session guide, but i do say Nappies, a change of baby grow, a dummy can be very helpful for settling, and I do recommend a top up for baby. If you are feeding yourself this can be expressed.
When do we recieve our images?
After your session I upload your images and go through your shoot. I do a light edit to my style so when your receieve your proofs these will not be far off the final look. You recieve your proof gallery by email around 2-4 days after. Once you have made your choice your final gallery takes 2-3 weeks. Here you can access my print lab to turn your images into the most gorgeous wall art, or gift box for a loved one!
