Geetha Arun
Geetha is a senior business operations program manager at Synopsys. She works on strategic business initiatives and mergers & acquisitions for her organization. As an active member of Society of Women engineers (SWE) organization, she leads SWE’s diversity/inclusions business interest’s affinity groups.
She is Synopsys’ university ambassador for Santa Clara university.
She is PAUSD’s CTE advisory board co-chair and a proud PAUSD parent. She has a master’s degree in computer engineering from North Carolina state university and undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from India.

Darcy Huston
Darcy is a Sr. Technical Sales Manager for Synopsys, the leading Semiconductor company for Electronic Design Automation Software and IP. Darcy earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and started her career as a Field Application Engineer for Analog Devices. She moved into a Sales Engineer role and proceeded to earn her Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology and an MBA in Technology Management. She is a proud PAUSD parent of 3 daughters.
Shraddha Upadhyay
Shraddha currently works as a Program Manager at Synopsys and has a decade of experience in Project Management working on key IT initiatives. She has a master’s degree in Engineering Management and Leadership from Santa Clara University and undergraduate degree in Engineering from India. Shraddha is passionate about mentoring young female students and is an active member of Society of Women Engineers.
STUDENT PANELISTS
Leila Scola
Leila is currently a Senior at Santa Clara University (SCU) studying Computer Science and Engineering and plans to pursue a master’s degree.
She is the President of SCU’s SWE section.
As a SWE member she drives professional development events, craft community and industry outreach programs. She has participated in fellowships and research at SCU that revolve around sustainable technology including IoT.
Julia Yaklich
Julia is a sophomore Mechanical Engineering major at Santa Clara University, minoring in Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship. She is passionate about empowering women to pursue a career in STEM!
She is from Sacramento are and she likes to play soccer, spend time with friends, and watch movies.
Taryn Chisholm
Taryn is a sophomore at Santa Clara University studying Civil, Environmental, and Sustainable Engineering. She is originally from Redmond, Washington state. She is a part of the university’s Society of Women Engineers, Engineers Without Borders. She participates in research generative modeling in structural design and will be interning with a construction field engineer this summer.
