Dr. Parvati Iyer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and the Course Director for Integrated Clinical Sciences I at University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry. After graduating from University of Michigan, School of Dentistry and completing a residency in Hospital Dentistry at University of California San Francisco, she moved to Scottsdale, AZ where she practiced cosmetic dentistry. Her teaching career at University of Pacific started in 2013. As the liaison from Pacific to ADEA/Center for Change and Innovation, she is very passionate about promoting critical thinking and student engagement in an integrated curriculum. She is very active at American Dental Education Association(ADEA) and is the current Chair for the Special Interest Group on Teaching and Learning with Emerging Technology at ADEA and loves to incorporate technology in teaching. She was recently nominated as a Fellow of The Pierre Fauchard Academy and the proud recipient of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Charles Craig Award for teaching innovation in 2020.
