Dear parents:

Please allow me to take a moment to welcome you to Peace Academy for an exciting and eventful year. My name is Suhaila Khamis and I will be your child’s English Language Arts teacher.

My objective this year is to help students to excel at English Proficiency. Following the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts, I’m looking forward to prepare all students for success in college, career, and life by the time they graduate from high school. We'll be moving to a digital classroom whereas most announcements, assignments, and papers are posted and submitted online.

During this first week of school, my students will have the opportunity to cover some rules and expectations for my class. The universal class management plan that lists the class rules, policy of submitting assignments, in addition to other important information regarding all classes is attached under the Resources tab for your reference. Inshallah, through working as a team, we can ensure that your child finds success in my classroom.
