Doc Phil started his career as a marketing and sales officer and became district manager at Plastilens International, Inc. He made a bold move of joining Philippine Airlines as Cabin Crew. He was the class valedictorian of his batch and was granted the Top Frontliner Award. He has also been designated as a temporary duty as Trainer which he developed trainees’ character and confidence into becoming an ideal cabin crew. His passion and hard work paid off as he was promoted to Cabin Services Manager. He ensured and managed high-quality cabin safety and service delivery and provided leadership, support and performance management of cabin crew.
In 2017, he decided to explore a world outside the airline industry but still in the field of hospitality. He joined as Associate Director of The Concierge at St. Luke's Medical Center where he managed and ensured efficient operations that included assistance to patients in appointment setting with doctors/specialists, synchronization of laboratory exams and tests, and facilitation of medical cost estimates.
In 2019, he went back to his career in sales and marketing as he joined ZEISS Vision Care Philippines as Business Development Manager. Currently, he works as the Product Manager of PiVision, a subsidiary of First Philippine Holdings Corporation.
Moreover, he is a graduate of Centro Escolar University, a licensed Optometrist and an event host.
