We exist to raise a generation that knows where they come from, understands what has been preserved for them, and is prepared to carry it forward.
Through shared experience, history, and challenge, we help young people develop pride in their country and an appreciation for the freedoms and opportunities they inherit—not just for a summer, but for a lifetime.
A message from this year's Director, Karess Jones:
"We are excited to announce the Tooele Valley Patriot Camp for 2026: America 250 — The Pursuit Endures!
This year marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and we are intentionally setting aside time to explore the timeless principles that shaped our nation—and continue to shape responsible, engaged citizens today.
At Patriot Camp, our goal is not only to teach history, but to help children live its values. One of the most important outcomes we hope to achieve is to help them understand respectful debate as we reenact The Second Continental Congress and learn how the Founding Fathers were able to compromise in order to produce the historic document. Through hands-on, patriotic, and historically themed activities, campers will learn the value of respect—for themselves, for others, and for the freedoms they enjoy.
We also want each child to understand that they are valued. The freedoms we cherish were secured through the sacrifices of countless individuals throughout history, and our camp helps participants recognize both that legacy and their own potential. Campers will be encouraged to see how every person can make a meaningful, positive impact on the future when they stand for principles they believe in—especially life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
We invite you to join us in making this historic year meaningful for the next generation."
Patriot Camps are designed for parents who want more than a fun summer activity. Our camps provide a thoughtful, age-appropriate environment where children explore American history, values, and responsibility in a way that is engaging, respectful, and meaningful.
We are community-led, parent-supported, and focused on helping young people understand the story they are part of—without politics, pressure, or agenda.
Age-appropriate patriotic and historical education
Community-based, parent-supported camps
Emphasis on gratitude, opportunity, and responsibility
Grounded in History, focused for the future
Over the course of the week, campers participate in a series of structured activities designed to make history personal and memorable. Through memorization, teamwork, challenges, and discussion, children engage with the ideas and events that shaped the United States.
Each day builds on the last, helping campers connect the past to the present—and understand what it means to live with freedom and opportunity today.
Visit the Week Of Camp page for more details.
Patriot Camps are designed to leave a lasting impression. Parents consistently tell us the conversations (and singing) don’t end when camp does—they continue at home, in school, and as children grow.
This experience helps young people:
Develop confidence in understanding American history
Appreciate the freedoms and opportunities they enjoy
Recognize the sacrifices that made those freedoms possible
Begin forming a sense of responsibility for the community, country and the coming future
Volunteer Information
Patriot Camps are made possible by parents and community members who believe in America. Some choose to volunteer during the week, others help behind the scenes.
If you want to help continue the pursuit for happiness in America, we would love your help.
