"BEACON - An educational perspective on Belize and the Caribbean, Volume 2 captures an overview of the current situation of Belize's educational system. Author Arnold-Geban made references to regional and global contexts. This book presents the essence of the problems in some educational areas, but also suggests concrete and reasonable solutions that are embedded in research to improve the educational system in Belize. With reference to history, understanding the current situation, and seeking solutions for the future of the Belizean populace, BEACON should be considered a read for all stakeholders in education from top officials in the government to students in the classroom. With collaborative effort and engaging the ideas suggested in this book, Belize's educational system can be enhanced to provide high quality programs for our children and youth to ensure a better and brighter future for all Belizean citizens.
