WHAT THE DIGEST TOOL PROVIDES
The daily digest curation tool automatically pulls in several content pieces. Some of these will require your editing.
Weather: a few words and temps; you may add long-range forecast links from your local Accuweather for your city
Sponsorships: This is promotional ad copy (do not edit or delete these)
Today's Top Stories: 30 news headlines from RSS feeds. This gives you a base of news to work from to make story choices, but it's not comprehensive, sometimes includes content you don't want, and always must be edited and curated
Today in YourCity: A list of events compiled from the Patch calendar and a service called Burbio. Usually in a metro city, these are not useful
A Notebook section (which you can relabel as YourCity Chatter). This gives you more content from various social media pages; it must be edited and curated
HOW DO I CREATE A DIGEST
Log into your Patch account, go to edit.patch.com, go to the sandwich menu in the upper left corner, scroll to the DAILY DIGEST section and click Create draft.
