Patch wants to make the sponsorship deal process as easy as possible so you can spend your time promoting your Patch, talking to community members and covering local news.
Bookmark the completed deals submission form. This form has fields for all the information you need to collect to submit a deal to the sales support team.
Once the information is submitted, the support team will handle the ad creation process and billing. From time to time, you may receive questions from the support team.
After receiving the information and all creative materials from your sponsor, the ad could be live on your Patch on the same day. Generally, however, the timeline will be more on the average of three to five days.
Early Adopters: Find the biggest, most reputable businesses in town and pitch them on a long-term exclusive sponsorship that locks out their competitors. Look specifically in real estate, auto, health-care, legal and other top businesses.
New Sponsorship Shout Outs: After making a new sponsorship deal, write an article about your new sponsor, send the article to your subscribers as a Local Update email alert. Also, thank your new sponsor on your social media and remember to tag their Facebook page.
Content Sponsors: Pair sponsorships with recurring community content sponsorship opportunities, such as Athlete of the Week, Game of the Week, Student of the Week, Photo Gallery of the Week and whatever else you believe may be marketable. In-Article Donation Callouts: Include a call-to-action in your articles to help promote your Local News Supporter donation platform and link to your donations page. Here is an example but you can customize:

Business Promotions: Some small businesses don't have the ad budget for a Gold or Silver sponsor package. Remember to pitch the affordable Business Promotions feature to the smallest, locally owned businesses.
