If you have a genealogical document, such as a birth, marriage, or death record that you'd like to have a more readable copy of, I'm happy to transcribe, or copy and format as exactly as possible, the document with a citation.
I love working in different languages and if you've found a precious historical record that you are unable to read, I can help work out the text and translate it for you. Like the Basic English Transcription, I will copy and format the document in its original language as accurately as possible, as well as an English translation of that document.
Document Abstract - $50.00
An abstract is a summary of a document. If you would simply like a brief write-up with a citation of a document, I can help, working through the original record and recording the most important points.
Document Extract - $50.00
Unlike abstracts, extracts quote the major points of a document using exact quotations. Like the abstract, they provide a quick look at a document, including a citation.
Record Pull - $50.00
If you just cannot find that record you need or are geographically too remote to make it to a library or archive that may hold that record, I am happy to research and attempt to locate it for you. Please note that photoduplication fees apply to this service.
Tutoring - $50.00 per hour
A program designed primarily for beginning and amateur hobbyist genealogists, tutoring consists of hour-long Zoom sessions covering basic methodology, paleography, and technique, aimed at building greater knowledge and independence in the field.
Consulting - $75.00 per Hour
Designed primarily for intermediate and advanced genealogists working on specific projects, clients in this program have business-hour contact with Claire through phone, email, and text to ask questions, solicit advice, seek guidance, and share discoveries that can help them complete a research task or grow in their genealogical studies.
