"The Music Technology Pathway focuses on the creation, recording, mixing, performing, and production of music as well as careers in the music technology industry. Students learn how to create digital music, remixes, podcasts, ringtones, sound effects for movies, music for video games, and other digital compositions using a digital audio workstation (DAW). Students also gain an understanding on how to share, purchase, and sell digital music responsibly through the study of copyright laws and intellectual property. This pathway enables students to compete and succeed in a global marketplace by providing hands-on experience with technology. This experience leads students to gain a first-and understanding of cutting-edge innovations in the music technology industry.
