Wilderness Writing Workshop -Joshua Tree National Park

Students will backpack into remote areas of Joshua Tree National Park, spending 3 nights in nature, reading, writing and talking about desert ecology, solitude, and wilderness. Once we return from the trip, students will submit creative work to be published in a zine. Students will be trained in Leave No Trace backpacking ethics and learn different nature writing approaches. Backpack gear may be rented for free from PRHS.
