RULES
There are two categories:
1) Best Cinematic (a short film with people), and
2) Animation
This film is new, meaning production for this film did not start any earlier than last years Estreno Film Festival. Previous Estreno submissions are not eligible for prizes.
You may submit as many projects as you wish, however, you may only win prizes for two: one in Best Cinematic, and one in Animation.
Age groups will be decided based on submissions.
Ideally we will have:
Elementary group: 4-5th grade only.
Middle School group, and for us that is 6-8
High School group, 9-12
Due Date: 3:00 pm, Saturday March 23, 2024
The Event: Saturday, Park Cinemas Movie Theater, 6 pm, Saturday, April 13, 2024!
Your film should be no longer than 3 minutes.

You must be in attendance to win a prize.
Prize winners are only the major contributors to the film.
In order to be eligible for prizes, the students must come from one of the invited schools in San Luis Obispo County. Schools not on the list can join our competition by giving a donation to help with prizes and expenses.
Friends can help, of course. If your friend is not from the invited school they can participate, but they are not eligible for a prize. Parents, family, indeed they can help. But parents cannot take home a prize, our event is called the "Estreno YOUTH Film Festival."
Prizes must be picked up the night of the event.
