Culinary Semester 1

Introduction to cooking with an emphasis on breakfast cookery.  Can you make three entrees in 20 minutes? 

Topics include; career opportunities within the culinary and hospitality industry, types of establishments, career pathways with entry-level employment to Chef/ownership, front of the house and back of the house opportunities, attributes to a successful career, what it takes to have success in the industry, recipe reading, safety and sanitation and weights and measures.
