Hello! Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I'm so excited for all of the great things planned this year.
A little bit about me:
My name is Mrs. Peine and I'm a 2014 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (B.S. in English Education 7-12 and B.A. in English Literature) and a 2016 graduate of Concordia University (M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction). This is my twelfth year teaching and living in Port Allegany and I'm so glad to be part of this community. I primarily teach 11th and 12th grade, and I also direct the fall play and act as a senior class adviser and a peer helper adviser.
Outside of the classroom, I have several hobbies and interests. I am an NRA certified instructor in shotgun, rifle, and muzzle loader and I'm a USA Archery level 1 instructor. I'm also a 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023 honoree at the Martial Arts Association Hall of Fame and study Taekwondo, Hapkido, Kuntao, and Tai Chi, and hold a third degree black belt rank in all four. I live with my husband, my son Teddy, and my two dogs, a Labrador named Patrick and a Border Aussie named Pip!
