Dear Families! 

Welcome to 3rd Grade!  I am looking forward to working with you and your child as we embark on a fun-filled year of learning. It Is my Intention to keep students engaged and excited to learn., while encouraging them to set goals for themselves and use a growth mindset when faced with challenging tasks. I believe In a strong line of communication between myself and parents to help ensure a successful year of learning for your child. To give you some insight on my experience in teaching, I graduated college from Slippery Rock University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I moved to Las Vegas to complete my student teaching and taught 1st-3rd grades for 5 years. I then moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to my family and obtained my Masters in Reading at Penn State Harrisburg. I worked at Steelton Highspire for 10 years, and then accepted a job at Palmyra as a 3rd grade teacher 10 years ago.  Teaching 3rd grade is my absolute favorite grade to teach. Can you believe this will be my 25th year of teaching?!!

Now to share a little bit about me. I currently live in Harrisburg, PA with my husband Chris, daughters Madeline (16 years old) and Annaliese (12 years old), and our dog Sophie. I keep busy with driving my girls around to all their sporting practices and events. In my spare time I love to bake, especially cheesecakes and craft with my Cricut! Below Is a list of a few more of my "Favorite Things."
