Possession of Prohibited Items
Students shall not possess or use:
Items that can be used as a weapon, not limited to but including: a pocketknife or any other small knife, mace/pepper spray, razor, box cutter, knuckles, stun gun, etc.
A weapon or "look-alike" weapon that is intended to be used as a weapon or could reasonably be perceived as a weapon. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: a firearm, air gun, BB gun, ammunition, firearm silencer/suppressor
Tobacco products; cigarettes; e-cigarettes; and any component, part, or accessory for an e-cigarette device;
Matches or a lighter
Possess, use, give, or sell alcohol, an illegal drug, seeds/pieces of marijuana, paraphernalia related to any prohibited substance, or a "look-alike" drug
Fireworks of any kind, smoke or stink bombs, or any other pyrotechnic device

Searches
District officials may conduct searches of students, their belongings, and their vehicles in accordance with state and federal law and district policy. Searches of students shall be conducted in a reasonable and nondiscriminatory manner. Refer to the district’s policies for more information regarding investigations and searches.
The district has the right to search a vehicle driven to school by a student and parked on school property whenever there is reasonable suspicion to believe it contains articles or materials prohibited by the district.
Desks, lockers, district-provided technology, and similar items are the property of the district and are provided for student use as a matter of convenience.
