English Summer 2025 Summer Reading

Dress Code:

• Backpacks are allowed

• Appropriate jeans/pants are required (no pajama pants, holes above the knee, etc.)

• Appropriate shirts (no sheer material, cut-offs, crop tops, off-the-shoulder, or inappropriate designs)

• Dresses and skirts must be appropriate length

• IDs must be on at all times

• Tattoos must be covered

School Hours:

• The building opens at 6:45 AM - students need to be in the Union until 7:05 AM.

• School starts at 7:05 AM and students are tardy at 7:15 AM. Students are counted absent if they have not arrived by 7:25 AM.

• After school, students who are not in a tutorial with an adult should exit the building at 2:45 PM.

Tardies:

• Students who have class on the main campus get two extra minutes to get to class.

• Students who do not arrive on time will be issued a tardy pass. Excessive tardies will lead to In-School Suspension (ISS).

San Jacinto College Expectations:

• San Jacinto College professors come to Sam Rayburn Early College to teach either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.

• Students cannot miss their college class. Please be mindful of when you schedule appointments.

• Students should thoroughly read the class syllabus and familiarize themselves with course expectations and deadlines.

San Jacinto College Academic Standing:

• Good Standing- GPA above a 2.0 (C Average)

• Academic Warning- GPA below a 2.0

• Academic Probation- GPA below a 2.0 for two consecutive semesters

• Academic Suspension- GPA below a 2.0 for three consecutive semesters

  • At the point of Academic Suspension, Pasadena ISD and Sam Rayburn Early College are not able to keep students in the program due to students not being able to enroll in college classes.
