My Vision
To provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for students in addition to helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. My ultimate goal is to empower students to reach their full potential and become successful, well-rounded individuals. In addition to guiding students towards making informed decisions about their education and future goals.
As a school counselor it is imperative to advocate for our students by helping them have a sense of belonging, promoting mental health and well-being. I believe in meeting the needs of my students through a solution-focused approach that focuses on the student's strengths that they are able to implement not only in the present but also in the future.
Providing our parents and students with effective reading strategies to help students be successful on the STAAR. In addition to providing parents with resources on how to help their children enhance their reading fluency at home.
Partnering with the 6th grade school counselor and planning and organizing career day to have professionals come and share their knowledge with our students.
The opportunity to represent Marshall Kendrick Middle School on becoming a Grief Sensitive School.
Walk For Sight is a great opportunity to connect and build relationships with district and community members.
