Hello Class of 2024!

I am Mrs. McCoy & I will serve as your Assistant Principal for the next 4 years! Mrs. Gernander and I just spent the last 4 years supporting the Class of 2020 and we are excited to now get to start over at the freshmen level and support each of you in your journey to graduation. Each of you are coming to CTHS because you see the value in our campus and have a passion for a particular career pathway. Our first goal at CTHS is always every student earning their High School diploma but we also have a major focus on certification/licenses and service. We can't wait to see what your future holds!

This is my 14 year in education and I have been in Pasadena ISD all 14 years. I first taught science at Jackson Int and then came to CTHS when the building opened in 2014 to teach Chemistry. This will be my 5th year as an Assistant Principal at CTHS. I have been married to my husband, Nate, for 10 years and we have an 8 year old daughter named Molly. I also have a dog daughter named Josie! We all love traveling and spending time together. Being outside, when it's not too hot, is where I prefer to be. Especially if it happens to be near a lake, the mountains or any other beautiful scenery.

I am Mrs. Gernander, your counselor for the next 4 years! I am looking forward to meeting each of you and learning about who you are and the things that are important to you. Even if we have to meet on zoom meetings for a while it’s important that we get to know each other so that I can help you establish and meet your goals. I’ll share a little about me so that you can learn who I am. I’ve been in education for 26 years and love it! I’ve only worked at 3 schools in Pasadena….Park View, Sam Rayburn and CTHS. I attended school at both Park View and Sam Rayburn so it was fun to be able to work there also. But now….CTHS is super special. The pathways, programs, and people are amazing. For fun….I LOVE to play golf, in fact, I might be “addicted” but I also like to hike, and relax on the beach with my family. I want you to know that I’m here for you and your family and together, along with Mrs. McCoy, we will have a great 4 years together.
