About Us

The Beverly Hills Intermediate School Band, or BHI Band is located in the Pasadena Independent School District and features approximately 120 seventh and eighth grade students. There are three advanced bands, a percussion class, and a beginning band class.

It is the philosophy of the BHI Band that music is an integral component of a comprehensive education. We believe in developing independent musicians who can understand and appreciate music for the rest of their lives. We strive to have all students achieve at a very high level and to prepare them to be successful members of the Dobie High School Band program.

Our BHI Band students perform at numerous events throughout the year including: Winter and Spring concerts, an elementary school tour, UIL Contest, solo and ensemble contest, pep rallies, a BHI football game, a Dobie HS football game, and the BHI awards ceremony. Advanced students also participate in the All-City and All Region Band audition process. This year, members will also perform the Star Spangled Banner at a Dynamo or Dash game!
