Istanbul, Turkey

In the period of time from 12.10.-18.10.2022 teachers Iluta Balule and Sintija Sērmūkša, together with Roberts Ķergis, Ēvalds Miglāns, Līga Panga and Vivita Baldiņa participated in Erasmus+ project "Health for Body" mobility in Istanbul, Turkey.

On the first day we met students and teachers from other countries, got to know the partner school, watched the performances of the students, which also included their homework - folk dance. Students from other countries - Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Lithuania - also demonstrated their traditional folk dances. It was a great pleasure to meet again with the teachers of the partner schools, to discuss both work and extracurricular activities.

On the following days we visited the historical places of Istanbul, listened to the guide's engaging stories about Turkey. A 3-hour cruise along the Bosphorus Bay, which divides Istanbul into European and Asian parts, was also memorable.

This time there were two homework assignments. Each country had to make a presentation about eating habits. In very informative presentations, we gained a lot of knowledge about national dishes.

We left Turkey with the thought that we would definitely like to come back here again. Students improved their communication skills, made lots of new friends, got to know Turkish architecture, culture, traditions, eating habits and nature!
