A newsletter about the mobility experience and activities in Bulgaria:

The students of the "F. D'Aguirre-D. Alighieri" Institute of the Scientific and Technical Commercial Department of Partanna participated in the 1st Mobility of the Erasmus "Health for Body" project from 13th to 19th March 2022.

Teachers and students, together with our Headmaster, Francesca Accardo , were guests at a Higher Institute of Mathematics in Sofia, Bulgaria. The project involves several countries such as Turkey, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Italy.

The objective of the project is the well-being and health of the body which is achieved through a healthy and proper diet and the practice of sport and physical activity.

There were many activities planned by the Bulgarian Private School "Pitagora" starting with guided visits to the city of Sofia and its museums, in particular, the National History Museum, which represents the largest museum in the history of the Balkans and where children are were fascinated by the national treasures of Bulgaria, the Church of Saint Sophia, the Opera, the National Theater, "Ivan Vazov", the National Palace of Culture, the National Library "St. Cyril and Methodius", the National Assembly, the Mosque Banya Bashi and Sveta Nedelya Church with St. George's Church and more.

In addition, activities related to proper nutrition and healthy eating were proposed, through the presentation of the work carried out by pupils from different countries, in addition to sports activities and competitions that saw the enthusiasm and participation of our pupils.

Many activities took place in other schools in Sofia, including a "Pythagoras" Elementary School which hosted the students of the Project to carry out an activity inspired by the "World Cafè" strategy. It is a simple but effective method of encouraging debates and exchanges of ideas between groups of people.

The inspiration is the old cafes, historically known as places of quiet conversation, where people could communicate freely, and thus generate new ideas and decisions.

Other interesting activities were those related to the Stress Seminar, a major problem for every teenager. The students, through group work, shared opinions on how to manage stress, deal with it and prevent it, reporting on the solutions proposed in the groups. Finally, they agreed that everyone should be able to find their own way to cope with stress, including sports and a healthy diet. Finally, there were also moments of sporting and recreational games and folkloristic dances organized by the school, in particular the traditional Bulgarian dance "Pravo Horo".

Warm was the welcome given by the pupils and the Principal of the Deyana Milusheva Institute so as to make this experience unforgettable and exciting.
