Mr. Anthony has 35 years of experience in the petroleum industry including completion/workovers, reservoir engineering, production engineering and field operations. Experience includes extensive work with deep, tight oil/gas reservoirs in both domestic and international locations. He has designed and implemented hydraulic fracture treatments and completed wells throughout North and South America, the Middle East, Australia, Russia, and Hungary both onshore and offshore. Has continued to successfully refine horizontal well completion techniques in several projects throughout the U.S. in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Employment experience includes major service company and petroleum engineering consulting. Mr. Anthony currently serves as Chief Engineer for Sigma 3 where he manages the engineering and reservoir characterization divisions.
Prior to founding APEXiCAP, Mr. Anthony was a founding partner of Apex Petroleum Engineering, Apex Hi-Point Fracture Mapping, and JJBM Properties, LLC., a privately held real-estate company that owns multiple commercial properties in California, Colorado and Louisiana. Mr. Anthony holds a BS in Geology and Associate of Science, Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.

Fred P. Adams currently serves as chief investment officer of the Managing Member and the Advisor since inception. Mr. Adams has over 25 years of real estate investment and management experience on over $500 million in transactions including acquisition, development, redevelopment, and repositioning of fee simple, leased fee, distressed debt, special situations, and bankruptcy assets, including C & I assets. Mr. Adams is a co-founder of Apex Integrated Capital, LLC. Prior to co-founding Apex, Mr. Adams was a Director of Special Assets at Republic Financial Corporation where he originated, underwrote and resolved commercial business and real-estate secured distressed debt. Prior to Republic Financial, Mr. Adams worked with several family offices, including Alma Group and Duncan-Smith Investments. Mr. Adams started his career doing loan workouts and foreclosures with First Republic Bank which, through a series of acquisitions, fell under Bank of America and its special assets department at the time, AMRESCO. Mr. Adams holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arizona.

Mr. John D. Harkrider has over 30 years of entrepreneurial and operational experience in founding and building start-up enterprises into acquisition targets with valuations between $50M-$75M.
Prior to founding APEXiCAP, Mr. Harkrider was a founding partner of Apex Petroleum Engineering and Apex Hi-Point Fracture Mapping. Both of these entities were founded in 1999 with “bootstrap” capital and were sold in 2012. Mr. Harkrider lead the negotiations with Symphony Technologies and Sigma 3 Integrated Reservoir Solutions that culminated in the acquisition of the two businesses with Mr. Harkrider retaining a seat on the Board of Directors. Currently Mr. Harkrider also serves as the President of Sigma 3 Engineering.
Since 2004, Mr. Harkrider has also been the managing partner for JJBM Properties, LLC which is a privately held real-estate company that owns multiple commercial properties in California, Colorado and Louisiana.
Mr. Harkrider received a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He has over 25 years of experience as a petroleum engineer consulting on oil and gas projects throughout the continental U.S. and around the world.
Mr. John T. Harkrider has over 20 years of alternative investment management operations experience in real estate, private equity and hedge funds. Concurrent with co-founding ApexiCap, Mr. Harkrider is a co-founder of Five Stone Capital, L.P. serving as a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Prior to these ventures, Mr. Harkrider held executive roles with two alternative asset managers, most recently as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for BlackGold Capital Management LP, an affiliate of KKR & Co. During his tenure, the firm’s assets under management grew to approximately $2 billion. Prior to joining BlackGold he was a Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at Kenmont Capital and Kenmont Investments.
Previously, Mr. Harkrider was the President of a subsidiary operating company of Consolidated Graphics, Inc. (acquired in 2014 by RR Donnelley & Sons). He also has served as Regional Controller of Hines Interests Limited Partnership -a fully integrated real estate investment, development, and management firm – and a senior auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co LLP in the Financial Services Division.
Mr. Harkrider received a BBA in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Mr. Mitch Kniffin has over 30 years of experience in the Oil and Gas business and real estate ventures. Currently Mr. Kniffin is part of the management team at SIGMA³ and is involved in evaluating real estate opportunities at APEXiCAP. Mr. Kniffin graduated with a BS in chemistry from Kansas State University.
Mr. Kniffin was a founding partner of APEX Petroleum Engineering Inc. in 1999, where he serves as Principal Problem Consultant. Mr. Kniffin designed and executed stimulation treatments on horizontal wells using a new, patented process, the Ported Sub Treatment System, of which he is co-inventor. Prior to Apex, Mr. Kniffin worked at Schlumberger for 20 years with responsibilities ranging from petroleum engineering manager to sales engineer to alliance manager. He developed the West Texas Texaco account into an exclusive Schlumberger alliance. At various points with Schlumberger, Mr. Kniffin was responsible for Western U.S. operations; supervised eight alliance process improvement teams; engineered the technical design and operational execution of Schlumberger service operations for the West Texas and Farmington areas; managed thirty customer accounts with responsibilities of personal sales contact, technical design, service execution, and financial management; managed a thirty person operation conducting services at customer well sites, including supervision of the safety performance, maintenance responsibilities and inventory control.
Mr. Kniffin holds a BS in Chemistry from Kansas State University. Mr. Kniffin has been published in various professional publications throughout his petroleum engineering career.
Mr. Jonathan Miller has over 22 years experience in the investment industry and building companies from the ground up. He is the President & CEO of Parsonex Enterprises, Inc. which owns two FINRA registered broker dealers and an SEC registered investment adviser with over 60 financial advisors and 10 branch offices across the United States. Mr. Miller is an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor™ and holds a variety of registrations in the investment industry, including being a general securities principal, a municipal securities principal, registered investment adviser and investment banking representative.
Mr. Miller is a contributing author to Investopedia, has a Youtube Channel on financial advisor careers and is an author and speaker on the subjects of investing and entrepreneurship. Mr. Miller was the President & CEO of Paragon Lending Solutions, Inc., a mortgage banking firm, from 2003 to 2009. He is an accredited mortgage professional (AMP) and in 2005 won the Willis Bryant Award from the Mortgage Bankers Association of America.
Mr. Miller has a B.A. from Iowa State University.
Mr. Kaul earned a degree in Geological Engineering and spent his first 11 years working for various pumping services companies gaining experience in the Permian Basin, E. & S. Texas as well as the mid-continent region. During this time h served in various capacities including field engineer, lab manager, regional engineer, and regional technical sales engineer.
His next 12 years were spent representing resin coated pros-pants thoughtful the western U.S. and Canada. His last 12 years have been spent in the ceramic proppants industry. During this time he held positions of Western Regional Sales Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing in the western Hemisphere. As Director he oversaw sales, marketing, customer service, logistics and business development for ceramic proppants.
