Auskick - (ages 4 to 6)
An intro to Australian Football and invaluable life skills.
With game-based activities kids love, learning is disguised as playing. You don’t need Aussie Rules experience — children can start Auskick in the calendar year they turn 5!
And the best part is, NAB AFL Auskick isn’t just for kids. Parents have plenty of options to participate.
Superkick - (ages 7 to 8)
Superkick is a modified version of AFL that focuses on skill development for ages 7 to 8.
That means - tackle free (tag), highly social, shorter seasons and no additional training required.
It’s a great way for those with zero or limited experience to get introduced to AFL and for those current or past players who want to keep fit and play some footy with friends.
Junior AFL - (ages 7 to 17)
Junior AFL isn’t just about footy — it’s about growth, connection, and belonging, develop new skills, gain confidence, and learn the game in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment.
Players are introduced to:
New teammates and new friendships.
Skill development tailored to each age group.
Age-appropriate rules.
Gradual increases in contact as they progress.
Training during the week
A match each weekend to apply skills, learn teamwork, and enjoy real-game excitement
Why Junior Footy Matters
Junior AFL is more than sport — it’s a place to belong, no matter your background or experience. Every player becomes part of a living, evolving story that continues to shape the future of footy.
Kickability
Kickability program is for young people aged 5-16, who identify living with disability, or may need some additional support playing Australian football.
The program focuses on fun and participation, helping children build confidence, develop skills, and experience the joy of being part of a team. Kickability ensures every child, regardless of their ability, has the chance to thrive and connect through sport.
