Learning Tools

In the past 10 years the explosion of web technologies has increased exponentially and contexts for learning have been transformed (Greenhow, Robelia, & Hughes, 2009). Students are broadening their knowledge while the use of web technologies has allowed for a “hybrid of physical and cyber spaces (Greenhow et al., 2009). As discussed previously a move towards capability focused education could assist students in developing key soft skills which will be utilised in their life however in the current school setting a focus on tools which develop capabilities could assist.
