The book The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold is about a 14 year old girl named Susie Salmon, who was murdered on December 9, 1973. While she is in heaven she watches her killer cover his tracks, her loved ones slowly move on, and her siblings grow up. There is a part in the book where Lindsay’s crush bring her a gift on Christmas (Lindsay is Susie’s sister). If you like suspense and and sad books then you will like the lovely bones.
